Get Involved
There are many ways to get involved with Mirfield Show...

Mirfield Show would not have grown to be what it has become today without the support we get from local organisations, groups, businesses and individuals. Assistance is very welcome at any time, but there are three key times when we need volunteers. Throughout the year to help stage the show, on the day before setting up the show, and of course on show day itself.
Show Planning Help
Even if you do not with to be a full member of the Mirfield Show team, there are many tasks throughout the year that you can volunteer to assist us with. From helping with putting posters up to designing leaflets, from selling advertising to invoicing, from organising competitions to taking bookings, plus much more. If you can help with any of this, or have any other skills that may benefit us, please get in contact with the Mirfield Show Secretary at secretary@mirfieldshow.co.uk.
Pre-Show Saturday Set Up Help
The majority of Mirfield Show is set up on the Saturday across the showground between about 9am and 3pm - and any assistance is appreciated - from marking the field out for the stalls and attractions to assemble the gazebos, barriers, gates, from laying out the marquee ready for the craft stalls and exhibits to tidying across the showground. If you or your organisation can help with any of this, for the day or even an hour, please get in contact with the Mirfield Show Secretary at info@mirfieldshow.com.
Show Day Sunday Help
The team relies on over a hundred volunteers on show day from 7am to 7pm to help with the smooth running over the show. We need most volunteers first thing from 7am to 10am to help direct traffic and visitors, to mange the horses, to put out the seating and bails, to put up the gates and gazebos, to direct stalls and exhibits to their locations, plus much more. Less help is required throughout the main show, however there are also jobs to be done, like helping to run competitions, managing visitors, clearing litter, moving equipment - all jobs that are often unseen but are vital to a successful show. We also appreciate as much fresh-leg help as possible from 4pm on the Sunday to help tidy up and pack up when the committee has been on their feet all day - an often forgotten about task, that must be done before night-fall. If you can help with any of this, or have any other skills that may benefit us, please get in contact with the Mirfield Show Secretary at info@mirfieldshow.com.
